The Theater

Admission reads the sign is free to all who enter

An audience slowly filters in
A brisk wind stirs the crowd
Slowly a dim light appears

A steady voice excites the crowd

“Warning to all in attendance
Your death may be required.”

Silence
(Gentle sounds in the distance)

An aged actor struggles onto stage
Revision
Act
Immortality

I am a simple man can you help me?
What seems to be your ailment?
My life no longer has a need
Need why do you need purpose

Slowly aside
Enter reality

I have traveled many miles to greet you
I have waited for you so long
In the distance I question your thought
My though is questioned my heart is dead

The pace quickens
Entrenched forever

I will love you forever
Why do you lie to me, forever?
I have never lied to you, my love
Love is an illusion and so is our life

Feverish and forever
Fading silently

I never meant to hurt you
I thought you loved me, you said you did
I am so sorry, but I don't love you, never have
It's best this way, have a good life

The actor stand's and stair with life
A lone person in attendance
"I miss you forever", mutters the fool
