Emotion

Do you understand emotion?
Silence of the darkest night
The light of a heart in love
The fool’s emotion is being content

Let me tell you of pain
Nights alone
Tears filling my void
Emptiness filling my life

Let me tell you of love
Nights embraced
Joy filling my heart
Happiness filling my life

Let me tell you of contentment
Nights of fooling myself
Selling myself short
Contentment is the worst lie we ever convince ourselves of

Do you understand pain?
Do you embrace love?
Do you except contentment?

Pain is an emotion that makes us feel alive, embracing deaths fearful touch
Love is an emotion that makes glad we are alive embracing life’s gentle moments
Contentment is a cancer that rots at our hearts fools us of happiness
and leaves our souls barren
