Alone

Alone, I walk into an empty room
Looking at old pictures from a life that never seems to have happened
Missing you. like you were never here
I wipe a solitary tear from my cheek
There is no hiding, no retreat
My love for you only grows
Time passes and I am alone

Miss your caress, miss your smile
Miss your laugh, miss your heart
Miss your temper, miss your anger

I have tried to move past
But as I am trapped I cannot
I refuse to admit your death
I refuse to believe you are gone
Never mind my life, never mind my death
Just let me know I am not a beast for living
