The Song of Life

The song of despair is a tune most love to sing
The song of the righteous is a song that is seldom heard
The song of life bellows from the heart and is never heard
It is sung by the desperate and the righteous alike
We know not how to listen for the song
Nor do most of us care to. What a fine world we have created
Hate lives in the heart of loving. Love is dead
We like it that way, or at least we accept it
