Tears Fall Freely

A young child unharmed by life reaches out
But is refused, “Not Today” answers her mother
The child then is dead, always more she grows with pain

Rivers of pain flow into oceans of hate
I no longer question you, I tell her
She cries without reason, evermore

Delicate as I thought she was
I never knew she loved me
Until she could abuse no more, tears fall freely
