On A Desperate Night

on a desperate night she rides lonely
to the festival at the center of a desperate night
an ebony confusion will surround him
as a stranger slowly watches on a desperate night
shadows of the recently dead mark the passing
of the flickering lights of the city on a desperate night
on a desperate night the solitary citizens scream
out the call of an elaborate beast of a desperate night
one man comes now to hold back the danger, to hold back
the subtle unknown danger of a desperate night
the desperate night chimes the loss of another
untouched golden innocence on a desperate night
